(Liberty Bell) – We’ve entered a strange time in American history where our freedoms are under direct attack and tyranny is spreading across the country, threatening our very way of life along with our economic prosperity. The big twist here is that this threat isn’t coming from a foreign army, but from individuals right here in our own backyard. Our governors and state legislatures.
And all because of the spread of a virus. Can you believe that? Folks were willing to sacrifice freedom for safety, not from a military force from another country, not from terrorists, heck not even a dang alien invasion. But from a virus that came from bats. That’s a sad, sad way for the greatest nation in world history to go out, wouldn’t you say, folks?
The good news is this ship hasn’t went down just yet. In fact, more and more patriots are rising up to fight against the tyrannical measures being instituted by governors who are strangling the life out of the very citizenry they claim to be trying to save.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court just delivered the death blow to Gov. Tony Evers’ stay-at-home order in a 4-3 decision that’s sure to make every liberal hoping to stay on a permanent lockdown throw a temper tantrum.
Here’s more from Breitbart:
The ruling “essentially reopens the state, lifting caps on the size of gatherings, allowing people to travel as they please and allowing shuttered businesses to reopen, including bars and restaurants,” the Associated Press reported.
Health secretary Andrea Palm had issued the order, and the court found she didn’t have the authority to do so.
“Rule-making exists precisely to ensure that kind of controlling, subjective judgement asserted by one unelected official, Palm, is not imposed in Wisconsin,” Chief Justice Patience Roggensack wrote in the majority opinion.
Former Gov. Scott Walker praised the court’s decision in a statement to Breitbart News.
“The Wisconsin Supreme Court upheld the law,” he said.
“The rule of law must be upheld – even in emergencies. I am honored to have appointed two of the Justices in the majority on the 4 – 3 decision.”
The decision allows schools to remain closed, and local governments can create their own restrictions.
Dane County, home of liberal Madison, was quick to do just that.
Public Health Officer Janel Heinrich took Evers’ orders limiting gatherings and enacted them at the local level.
As you can probably already guess, Evers is really ticked off about the decision, saying “Today, Republican legislators convinced four members of the state Supreme Court to throw the state into chaos.”
If that sounds a bit melodramatic and over the top, you’re right. It is. In fact, this is the kind of emotionally charged performance you expect to see from a Hollywood actor desperately attempting to validate their career playing pretend by winning a golden idol to worship.
To put it another way, Ever is being really silly.
“They have provided no plan. There’s no question among anybody that people are going to get sick. Republicans own that chaos.”
He added, “In the meantime, we’re going to have 72 counties doing their own thing.”
“I can’t believe there’s a state in the nation with this type of chaos.”
Or, and hear me out on this one, Gov. Evers, perhaps folks are sick and tired of these draconian measures you are taking to stop a virus that, frankly, can’t be stopped, and that they feel is being blown out of proportion, and want to preserve their rights and get back to work?
That’s called the American spirit. You should try and get some of that.
