They Hate Us: Professional US Cyclist Posts Pro-Trump Tweets; Look What Happened To Him Right After

(Liberty Bell) – It’s pretty plain and clear to see that if you are a supporter of President Trump’s and you state that you are so out loud, you’re going to be viciously assaulted — mostly verbally, but there’s a real possibility of actually being physically attacked too — and made to suffer for expressing your political beliefs.

I know, I know. It’s hard to believe that would happen in a country that prizes free speech as much as the United States, but the truth of the matter is, this is a principle we don’t treasure as much as we used to. That much is obvious.

A professional US cyclist just learned this lesson the hard way after posting pro-Trump tweets on Twitter that got him booted from his riding team on Thursday for being “divisive.”

Via BizPacReview:

The team, Trek-Segafredo, suspended Quinn Simmons, 19, for what was characterized as “divisive” comments he posted to his personal social media account, in what seemed rather benign, Fox News reported.

Simmons responded to a tweet from Jose Been, a Dutch journalist, in which she wrote that she wished for her American friends that “this horrible presidency ends for you.” She then added, “if you follow me and support Trump, you can go. There is zero excuse to follow or vote for the vile, horrible, man.”

At that, Simmons replied to her with “Bye,” along with a dark-skinned waving hand emoji. She later deleted her tweet.

Another Twitter user noted that Simmons is “apparently a Trumper,” to which he responded, “That’s right,” along with a U.S. flag emoji.

In addition, he replied to a separate tweet that contained a screenshot of his response to Been that said, “I like talented young bike racers as much as anyone, but I refused to cheer for anyone who supports a racist, hateful fascist like @QuinnSimmons9 does. I am officially rooting for everyone else.”

Shortly thereafter, Trek-Segafredo issued a statement indicating that Simmons, who was in his first season with the team, had been suspended “until further notice.”

“In response to the above, Trek-Segafredo does not condone comments or actions from its riders that add to divisive conversations. The Team will work with Quinn to help him understand the appropriate tone of conversation an athlete in his position should maintain,” the team also wrote in a Twitter post, according to Cycling News.

“We’re committed to making the sport of cycling a truly diverse and equitable space for all riders. We will be putting out a public statement soon.”

“Trek-Segafredo is an organization that values inclusivity and supports a more diverse and equitable sport for all athletes. While we support the right to free speech, we will hold people accountable for their words and actions,” the team wrote, before literally punishing Simmons for exercising his right to free speech, not to mention his political choice.

“Regrettably, team rider Quinn Simmons made statements online that we feel are divisive, incendiary, and detrimental to the team, professional cycling, its fans, and the positive future we hope to help create for the sport,” the team noted. “(He) will not be racing for Trek-Segafredo until further notice.

Wait a minute. Stating who you support as president is now considered a “divisive” comment worthy of kicking someone off of a team despite their level of talent and excellence? Have we as a nation collectively lost our minds? Why in the world would this be considered so awful and controversial?

If you value freedom, liberty, and law and order, the radical left hates you. They aren’t shy about admitting it now. This much is obvious.

“The team and its partners will work together to determine how we will move forward and keep fans and the public informed as to the decisions made in the matter,” the statement continued.

According to Fox News, Been later wrote that she felt “horrible” about Simmons being suspended and said that she would not have wanted that for him.

In response to Simmons’ use of a dark-skinned waving hand emoji, some online claimed that was racist and pledged not to buy Trek bikes, the title sponsor of the team, in the future.

This is truly disgusting. We are a free nation. Or at least we used to be. Now our culture is infected with socialistic fascism that runs so deep in the veins of these people that they can’t even tell they’ve become the very monster they think they are trying to destroy.

We’re in big trouble, America. Pray for our nation. Often.

  1. “Trek-Segafredo is an organization that values inclusivity and supports a more diverse and equitable sport for all athletes.” If what you say is true, then why the heck did you suspend the good athlete just for speaking his mind? What about the vile and disgusting comments of the other people? How come you let those pass? Your organization is a total joke, you virtue signalers are nothing more than fascists in disguise. Quinn Simmons should sue you for all you’re worth. I hope he moves on it. Quinn Simmons, get Nick Sandman’s lawyers, and go after these despicable people, we need to put a stop to this for good.

  2. France is lost to the scumbag moslems. Moslems have destroyed Notre Dame and burned down many Christian churches. The French women can’t walk safely on the streets. There is no free speech. As for cycling they had to destroy Lance Armstrong not for cheating (doing the same training as Frenchmen) but for being American. Time to burn down every mosque in France and send the invaders back to the moslem hell they created in their own African countries.

  3. great to see i hope every one of you racist fascist scum get chased from the light of day like the vermin you are and never to raise your rancid trump loving heads again. them and us is now you and me and you will go down

  4. The lie from the left that President Trump is a racist is becoming very exhausting. People need to use their brains and stop being such cowards. Appeasement never works on fascists. If these traitors to our country try to ruin my life for exercising my GOD given right to free speach,i will fight back using all legal means available to me as an American.

  5. The rider should sue for wrongful termination. He should ask for the team be his and the money to support that team for as long as he wants.

  6. Boycott Trek & any other companies that are against freedom of speech! He didn’t say anything derogatory! He responded to someone disrespecting our current president! I don’t know what this world is coming to.,,afraid to see where it will end!

  7. Critical race theory component – free speech except what left doesn’t like – her tweet much more divisive and hateful than anything he said – just on the wrong side of it apparently.

  8. I’ll be praying for you Quinn. It seems that these big corporations can support who they want, and say what they want. But when a employee says something different from there stand, look out. I’ll be selling my Trek bikes. You know, I don’t care for the companies that make Trek bikes, but I ride them anyway. Good luck Quinn. Hope to meet you someday brother Trumper.

  9. These people are so blindly woke that the can not see their own free speech hypocrisy. They suspend this rider from the team for merely expressing his support for a political person they do not like.
They themselves have become the embodiment of divisive intolerance that they loudly decry.
