Teachers Unions Make Radical Demands For Schools…You Won’t Believe What They’re Calling For

(Liberty Bell) – Have you ever wondered why America’s public school seem so uniformly far-leftist?

Why a generation of young people has been raised up with communist sympathies, gender confusion, and a belief that you can oppose fascism with more fascism (or a complete lack of understanding as to what “fascism” even is?)

Well, there’s a good reason for it.

Or rather, a chilling one.

The teachers’ unions, some of the most powerful political groups in the country, is packed full of progressive zealots.

And, rather than pat themselves on the back for all the indoctrination they’ve already achieved, they’re demanding that schools be turned into unamerican, Marxist educational camps that parents must be forced to send their children to.

Just the News reports that a coalition of teachers unions has issued an extensive list of demands calling for several dramatic transformative educational policies in the United States, including a “massive” funnel of federal funds and a “moratorium” on new charter schools and voucher programs.

From Just the News:

The Demand Safe Schools Coalition held a “Day of Resistance” on Monday this week, meant to “advance a racial justice agenda in public education, in particular by organizing for police-free schools.”

The group, which consists of at least 10 teachers unions, the Democratic Socialists of America, and the racial activist group Journey for Justice Alliance, argues that “the government must go much further to provide the resources to ensure a safe and equitable school reopening and must provide for our communities and working families through transformational Common Good demands.”

Among the numerous demands the group lists on its website are “police-free schools,” a “moratorium on new charter or voucher programs and standardized testing,” reduced class sizes, the “canceling [of] rents and mortgages,” a “moratorium on evictions/foreclosures,” and “direct cash assistance to those not able to work or who are unemployed.”

The group is also calling for a “massive infusion of federal money to support the reopening funded by taxing billionaires and Wall Street.”

On Monday, the coalition orchestrated about three dozen demonstrations in cities across the US, including Boston, Dallas, and Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, medical and public health authorities are urging public schools to re-open, as are desperate parents eager to return to work after months of economic depression.

Last month, CDC Director Robert Redfield said that the mortality risk for schoolchildren from COVID-19 is “one in a million.”

The American Academy of Pediatrics has also argued that “all policy considerations for the coming school year should start with a goal of having students physically present in school.”

  1. Take away from teachers paycheck whom Refuse to be there at school and start to teaching all those students,
Hell with teachers unions because they are nothing But a mop of organnize groups,

  2. I must applaud all of you for all of your righteous comments! There have many times that I’ve often wondered (just a Elijah wondered before God whether he was the only prophet left), if I was the only one who noticed that the anti-Christian agenda was beginning to overwhelm the Holy agenda of Christ. We know that Jesus Christ has already won the battle, however, it is discouraging to see a world headed into perdition. I don’t really have anything to add, since you all have covered all of the bases thoroughly. So, I just want to thank God for all of you. You’ve made my day!

  3. When I was in school we were ROTC( required 10th and 11th grade, optional 12th grade) and we were taught military discipline and use of weapons. That training put me above the others in the USMC in Korea(51-52).
We were also taught math, English, real history, both ancient and American. We were taught, wood shop, electrical shop, metal fabrication and pattern making, engineering drafting. Girls had home economics, boys also applied. When we got out of school, we were prepared for to support our selves and not live in momma’s basement. Most kids that graduate now, can’t cook, sew a button on a shirt or clean their room. ALL because they are taught by liberal democrats teachers. I learned in high school than and life, that the politicians and government are liers and do not keep their promises.
I regret leaving this screwed country to them cause of the LIBERAL DEMOCRATS. Why has country gone beyond repair?
My father(WW1) told me “I could never be a politician, because I couldn’t look a person in the eye and lie to them.

  4. I address Harold Dunn. I believe you meant “to remove any that adhere to far left doctrines” instead of right. Also, I have been a teacher but back when they stuck to teaching the edcational material. I take exception to him saying they should get a “real” job. Teaching is a “real” job and a hard one too. Don’t put down teachers, especially the few who are still teaching the real subjects like math, history, etc. instead of the politically correct stuff. It has to be hard to stand by your ideals when most others are in the liberal camp. I wonder how many teachers have either been fired or quit because they refused to teach the unAmerican stuff that’s being taught now. Since so many of our colleges are trying to produce dutiful liberals, I wonder how our democracy is going to survive. Liberals seem to hate our country and Democracy and are trying to destroy it. I say God bless and protect America and our values.

  5. I have a demand of my own for the teachers. FIRE THEM ALL!!!! Do away with the public school system and go all private schools.

  6. I have taught in public schools for over little over 30 years before going to private. I can tell you that the union cares nothing for the children. The union gives a false impression to teachers that they will be protected. The raises in teacher’s pay brings millions of dollars into the union’s pocket because once there is a raise, the dues are raised proportionally. Their dues go to far left agendas that many teachers do not support. Stand up against teaching leftist ideas, and you will be fired. The union will not be supportive, regardless if you are a member or not. Unions also provide professional development for teachers, which indoctrinates them beyond what they heard at the universities. The most evil thing about unions is that they send out mock ballots to teachers telling them who to vote for. (Churches are not allowed to do this. Why is the union allowed to?) In conclusion, the educational unions have power to indoctrinate every aspect of public life. There is a subtle push to make people think that their child’s public school is good because it is free of violence. Rather, the marker of a good school should be the teaching of basic skills, history, civics, and the free expression of ideas.

    • Not should have been the sentence: The union will not be supportive, regardless if you are a member or not. I do not know how to delete a message, so I just made a reply to my own message.

  8. I worked 21 years at a large university. When we had department meetings it was always a luncheon because the university budget (read state tax payers} paid for it. I always quietly asked G-d’s blessing for my meal. My dept. chair called me into his office and asked me about my faith and long story short, wound up giving his life to Christ. It wasn’t long before the politicians found a reason to fire him. Go-d led him to another job in a red state where Christianity is acceptable. We still exchange Christmas cards.
    G-d is good!

  9. This is a bigger problem than just what the 2020 elections can fix, for our country is now at a “tipping point”, which could destroy the USA Republic, and cause the rescinding of the “US Constitution”, destroying the “Bill of Rights”, and making everything written in the “Declaration of Independence” irrelevant and meaningless.

All this is being done by the “US Public School System”, that has been taken over by socialist and communist “Teacher Unions”, through the coercive threats of teacher strikes. The only remedy that will correct this is a national voucher system, giving all the American people the freedom and right to send their children to the school of their choice, not forcing them into indoctrination centers run by “Teacher Unions”, but allowing them to leave the long-term failing public school systems, and escaping to private or parochial schools, where teacher unions are not allowed, so the administrations can hold teachers accountable for their failures and fire those who have proven incapable of actually teaching the children what they need to know to support, protect, and keep in existence this great USA Republic, which those who have a proper unindoctrinated education are well aware that we are not a Democracy, but are actually a Republic.

Freedom of choice causes competition, that results in accountability, which produces excellence in whatever endeavor, and the reason why the USA has always been the leader of the world, out-producing all other nations in excellence in all fields, providing the greatest life experience for it’s citizens, producing the rights to freedom and liberty to pursue whatever makes them happy.

A “National Voucher System” would give all parents the freedom of choice to send their children to the schools that have proven to be very successful in properly educating their students. This would cause a huge reduction in the number of students in the failing public school systems, and by doing so save the American people on property taxes that are collected to fund the building and running of public schools, and paying the salaries of the incompetent teachers not allowed to be fired because of threats of strikes by the “Teacher Unions”, who refuse to lose any dues paying members, no matter how inept and incompetent they have proven to be.

  10. If Grocery Store, Walmart, Fast Food workers, etc making $11-15 p/hr are considered essential workers and have been going to work all along, what’s wrong with these high-paid Teachers not getting their asses back to work. I’m sure they’ve be to Grocery stores and other stores in the past couple months These Elites need to be put in their place. F them.

    • I would include big pharma in that also. They purposely build side effects into their products to keep us sick so we have to buy more of their products. We need to get back to doctors and treatments that work. I had a doctor once that was a real pill roller. I asked if big pharma paid him to push their products. He said no but he and his wife did go to the virgin islands for two weeks for a conference on new treatments fully paid for by big pharma.

  11. When Donald Trump is re-elected in November 2020, he had better break the Teacher’s Union in the U.S.A. He needs to do what Ronald Reagan did to the Air Traffic Controllers.

  12. Any teacher who refuses to do their job (teach kids) this Fall, should be fired the first day of school. Any administrator who allow the teachers to indoctrinate rather than teach should also be fired. It wouldn’t take too long for our public schools to get back on track when this is strictly enforced.

  13. Thanks, Harald for that informative, albeit disturbing report. In Guilford, Ct, my 2d grade granddaughter was told by her teacher that “oil is bad” because it causes global warming. When I told my daughter about this, she told me that the teacher proudly declared herself to be an “activist” at parent night orientation. This is outrageous. Teachers have no business using their classroom as a platform for pushing their political agenda. It’s very insidious. What if she succeeds in instilling irrational fear in the minds of these impressionable youngsters. For whom are they likely to vote in 11 years when they turn 18 and have been fed similar propaganda throughout their K-12 years?

What’s also insidious is the demand that charters or vouchers be eliminated, giving them full reign to dispense their garbage.

What most parents don’t realize is the depth of indoctrination pushed upon teachers candidates in education schools which are among the most left wing of all academic departments. These future teachers enter the profession believing such radical and self-serving practices are acceptable, coming from a monolithic academic swamp.

We have decided to homeschool our granddaughter in conjunction with her parents and she will receive a far better education. I am a historian, author of vocabulary-building novels, and writer on legal topics, my wife is a math whiz so we can cover all the bases, including art, music, geography, civics, science as well as the Bible study banned in secular government schools.

    • Kendell you asked “What if she succeeds in instilling irrational fear in the minds of these impressionable youngsters.”

Can you say Gretta Thornburg? The perfect example of terrifying young children with unproven theory and rhetoric on global warming (which with same data in the ’70’s was leading us to next ice age)

  14. Absolutely Harold hit the nail on the head!!! indoctrination into anti-american agenda has no place in our schools. We are Americans and have fought and died to give us these freedoms.Schools are suppose to teach History, including US History, Civics, Math, Reading, Writing, and etc.. Lo and behold maybe even respect for ALL other people and ALL property.

  15. I spent 19 years teaching in the public school system. I can tell you this:

Teacher unions do not care one iota about your children. They only care about promoting their liberal agenda.

Liberal indoctrination starts at the primary level. Just one thing I witnessed was a 4th grade teacher ask a student who their parents were voting for and when told a conservative they told the student their parents were stupid. I complained and my position was cut the next year.

You must join the union or be prepared for daily harassment. I was told by my superintendent to join the union so other teachers would stop complaining about me. Oddly I joined and it did stop.

The teachers union ALWAYS supports liberal political figures who support among other things abortion.

It’s been my experience after substituting in 5 districts and working in 3 others, 5 percent of teachers are awesome educators, 15 percent are decent people trying to do a good job and the rest are raving liberals who think it’s ok to preach liberalism to children, complain about their wages and throw a fit if any one even remotely conservative dares to do or say anything to disagree with them.

I’ve seen teachers and their union recieve an offer from the school, (and remember a budget has a limit, I don’t know why liberals can’t comprehend the concept that money isn’t limitless), stating that if the 60 teachers would take a 2 percent raise instead of the 4 percent they wanted, 4 people could keep their jobs. 7 voted to accept the 2 percent and help the district keep staff and manage the budget, 52 voted to take their 4 percent and to hell with the 4 who lost their jobs.

Look at what their ‘demands’ are, no police, legalize illegal immigration, forgive felons, give government beniful to illegals, no cooperation with ICE, more money for themselves, less class size, I could go on but most of you get it.

  16. dissolve the teachers unions, hire competent professionals, vet all responders
pay according to performance and remove any that adhere to far right doctrines and
    ideology.And do it NOW.
Especially the left over hippies that call themselves professors.Let them get a real job and abolish tenure.
