Senator Marco Rubio Blasts Lying Dr. Fauci Over “Distorting” Herd Immunity Requirements

(Liberty Bell) – For many top health officials and state executives, the coronavirus ordeal has been less about actual public health safety and more about control.

The Czar of public health in America, Dr. Fauci himself, has been savagely called out by Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) over the numerous ways he has purposefully misled the American people for the sole purpose of tricking us into “doing the right thing.”

Rubio accused Fauci of lying about the need for Americans to wear masks very early on in the pandemic and “distorting the level of vaccination” needed to accomplish supposed “herd immunity.”

Rubio slammed Fauci in a tweet but also pointed out, “It isn’t just him. Many in elite bubbles believe the American public doesn’t know ‘what’s good for them’ so they need to be tricked into ‘doing the right thing.’”

Fox News reports that Dr. Fauci has been “quietly shifting” his claims in regards to what the American public must do in order to get “herd immunity” from COVID-19.

In a recent interview with the New York Times that sparked Rubio’s criticism, Fauci admitted he was basing his recommendations off of polls saying that when polls indicated that “about half of all Americans” would be willing to take the vaccine he said herd immunity would require “70 to 75%.”

He went on to say that when polls indicated that around 60% of Americans said they would take the vaccine, “I thought, ‘I can nudge this up a bit,’ so I went to 80, 85.”

He went on to babble on about how doctors and scientists have to be “humble” because they don’t really know where the real number is.

One NYT columnist wasn’t amused by Fauci’s distortions and manipulations. Ross Douthat slammed him on Twitter, saying, “When you can’t just ‘trust the science’ because the scientists keep lying to you and then saying, ‘oh, that was just a noble lie, sorry about that.'”

The supposed “experts” have also gone back and forth on the issue of mask-wearing. According to Fox News, Surgeon General Jerome Adams insisted back in February that Americans need to “STOP BUYING MASKS.”

However, months later he jumped on the facemask bandwagon with Dr. Fauci and other health officials who were saying that masks were the best and most effective way to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

The truth is that the coronavirus is no reason to force Americans into wearing face masks and taking a rushed vaccine that is likely extremely dangerous.

Americans aren’t as stupid as health officials like Dr. Fauci seem to think that we are. We are capable of making our own health decisions and this is just further proof of why it is vitally important that we remain free to do so.

  1. I bought one of the expensive masks that they talk about all the time on the television and am terribly disappointed with it. I can still smell a fart through it and have lost faith.

  2. Actually, his first comment on wearing masks in March was the correct one. Think about it. With Japan for instance, their population always wear masks, even before the China virus. Didn’t keep them from getting it. There is absolutely no (zero, nada, none, nothing) from a scientific nature that shows the wearing of a mask to be effective. With entire populations wearing them, numbers keep going up. With at least one European country not wearing them at all, no shutdowns, no nothing, their statistics are the same as everywhere else. But since Benedict Biden has been paid off by China, things will improve soon. But then again that might be Trump’s doing.
