New Report Reveals How Many Extra Representatives California Has By Counting Illegals In Census; This Must Be Stopped

(Liberty Bell) – For many, many years, conservatives have made it rather clear that the reason illegal immigration needs to be stopped is because it is dehumanizing to those who cross the border. Well, that’s one reason among many, anyway.

How is it dehumanizing? The Democratic Party has been using illegal immigrants as nothing but pawns in their game to gain power and money. Illegal immigrants aren’t true human beings to the left. They are means to an end. Appeal to them through the promise of “free stuff” — paid for by taxpayers — so they will be loyal voters to the Democratic Party, not understanding that these folks don’t really care about them at all.

A good case in point is a new report that has just come out revealing how many extra representatives the state of California gets thanks to illegals being counted in the census, which has caused redrawing of the district lines.

Here’s more on this information from

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump signed an executive order to prevent illegal immigrants from being counted for the purposes of re-drawing congressional districts after the 2020 census.

The order, “Ensuring American Citizens Receive Proper Representation in Congress” comes after the Supreme Court last year blocked a citizenship question from being included in the Census and sent the question back to lower courts, claiming that the administration’s reasoning for the question was insufficient.

President Thomas Jefferson first proposed a citizenship question in 1800, and one was added to the census in 1820 with a question that asked for the number of “foreigners not naturalized” in the household. Census forms including citizenship questions were common until 1950. On a global scale, as the Heritage Foundation notes “even the United Nations recommends that its member countries ask a citizenship question on their census surveys, and countries ranging from Australia to Germany to Indonesia all ask this question.”

A census should be put out to determine how many citizens are in a specific country, with special emphasis on citizen. If you don’t actually have the legal right to be here, you shouldn’t be counted as a citizen. It’s really not that complicated.

Given how simple it is, we can assume that the reason the left is really fighting against that sort of thing is because they stand to benefit from illegals being counted in the census.

According to an analysis from Unbiased America, Blue States with large illegal alien populations like California are benefiting massively in terms of representation due to their non-citizens.

Decades ago, the relatively small number of unauthorized residents in the U.S. meant that including them in the Census did not materially change the number of representatives each state was allocated. But today there are between 12 and 14 million people living here illegally, and the number is rising.

As a result, states with large numbers of undocumented immigrants gain the advantage of additional representation in Congress. Based on the 2010 Census, the following states gained representatives because of the number of people illegally there:

  • California: +6 representatives (11.3% of its current representatives)
  • Florida: +1 representative (4.0%)
  • New York: +1 representative (3.4%)
  • Texas: +1 representative (3.1%)

Because the House of Representatives is currently fixed by law at 435 members, states that have fewer illegal aliens and non-citizens lose representatives as a result. The following states have fewer representatives than they would if undocumented immigrants were not counted in the calculation:

  • Mississippi: -1 representative (25.0% of its current representatives)
  • Oklahoma: -1 representative (20.0%)
  • Kentucky: -1 representative (16.7%)
  • South Carolina: -1 representative (16.7%)
  • Wisconsin: -1 representative (12.5%)
  • Indiana: -1 representative (11.1%)
  • Michigan: -1 representative (6.7%)
  • Ohio: -1 representative (5.6%)
  • Pennsylvania: -1 representative (5.3%)

Folks, once again, the left has revealed that racism undergirds their entire platform. If they were truly concerned about folks wanting to come to the United States to start a new life and be productive citizens — something conservatives often greatly encourage — they would be helping these folks to come through the front door instead of sneaking through the window.

It’s tragic that illegals don’t seem to realize how much they are being taken advantage of by the left. Here’s to hoping they wake up sooner rather than later.

  1. If you think that is bad Pennsylvania has a bigger government than California, there is more freeloaders in the Pennsylvania system than California! We have tried for years to reduce the size of Pennsylvania’s govt but to no avail. Nobody in the Pa govt wants to lose a comfy and high paying job.

  3. In 2010 LaRaza estimated the Spanish Speaking illegal aliens in the US was between 35 and 55 MILLION.

The “13 million” number was from the early 1970’s and ONLY COUNTED those who OVERSTAYED their Visas.

And HOW IS IT… that the number has never increased on 47 years?

    • Let’s see, 47 years ago would have been 1973. If the Bracero Program expired in 1964, which it did and was never renewed, that leaves a 9-year period in which illegal immigration became a national issue. From an estimated 3M illegal aliens in 1964 to 13M in 1973 (and only then for visa overstays) represents quite an increase, particularly when border jumpers were not included in the tally! If the La Raza estimate of 35M-55M illegals in 2010 is anywhere near accurate, it’s clear why the Democrats want open borders, amnesty, and eventual US citizenship for all illegals! However, I am of the opinion that their figures are from slightly to somewhat exaggerated! Such massive numbers would be glaringly conspicuous nationally and would serve only to the detriment of their cause! Either way, ONE illegal alien is ONE TOO MANY as far as I’m concerned! That being said, SOMEONE SOMEWHERE doesn’t want the true numbers revealed! In conclusion, I hope that you don’t feel like anything I have said detracted from your excellent comment. Such was not my intent, which was hopefully to add a brief summary and a little additional clarity.

  4. Perhaps we should arrest the California Dem politicians for aiding and abetting known criminals. Otherwise, perhaps Texas should accept all our cattle in as citizens and deputize them to turn around and fart towards California!

  5. You must define “conservative” as someone who is unable to read simple sentences, the Constitution says, count all inhabitants, not voting citizens, amazing how you really don’t care about the constitution.

    • yeah, about the failure to read and comprehend…

      “inhabitants” is not listed:

Article 1, Section 2 of the United States Constitution:

“Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which
may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to
Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other
Persons. The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct. ”

“amazing how STUPID you really are about the constitution.”

    • Old geezer, once again, they must have taught you (or maybe you are unable to read), that the 14th amendment(section 2) is part of the constitution!

I remain confident in my characterization of you as a lazy, illiterate, moron.

But I am sure you know that.

    • Eric if your referring to section 2 of the 14th amendment I gather we should count the whole of residents but for determining representation it excludes Indians (reducing representation for OK and others with large Native American population) and only count males over 21 years of age excluding women and children in that determination as well?

    • No it does not and they would have assumed they got hear Legaly nobody wants illegals to come here much less pay them welfare and most of we don’t care what you want

  6. Census is for citizens only. It’s only citizens that need representation in Congress.

    Let’s respect our constitution!

  7. 12 to 14 million illegals is at least a decade old number, the total now is more like 30 million illegals in the U.S.
So far in 2020, even with the border supposedly being closed, more than 220,000 illegals have made it in.

    • THAT number was created in 1973 and only referred to the number of KNOWN persons that Overstayed their Visas.

ILLEGAL border crossers were never counted or included.

  8. Hell why don’t we just build a wall around California and not count or even remember they were part of the USA?
