(Liberty Bell) – George Soros, the Hungarian-born billionaire with a wide array of connections to sundry progressive political efforts, is seen as above reproach by the mainstream media and Democratic establishment.
Any criticism of Soros’ agenda and funding is dismissed as “antisemitic,” even by the “right-wing” Fox News (they’ve certainly showed their colors over the last year, but I digress), who cut former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich off for bringing up the philanthropist’s spending projects.
However, in his home country, they know what’s up.
Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán recently issued some scathing remarks of his nation’s native son, calling Soros “one of the most corrupt people in the world.”
This came in response to calls from the globalist powerhouse to the European Union to force Hungary and Poland to submit to his far-left “open society” values.
“George Soros is threatening Hungary and Poland,” Prime Minister Orbán told Kossuth Rádió on Friday.
“George Soros is one of the most corrupt people in the world; he has plenty of politicians in his pocket who now want to blackmail Hungary and Poland for access to EU funds,” the premier continued, accusing Soros of disseminating “absurd, beyond-the-red-line statements” about his country.
Soros had made a number of things about the nation of his birth, including that “Orbán has constructed in Hungary an elaborate kleptocratic system to rob the country blind. The amount by which he has enriched his family and friends is difficult to estimate but many of them have become exceedingly wealthy” in a recent article.
Breitbart notes this is rather ironic, considering Soros’ own wealth and his previous convictions for insider trading.
Hungary and Poland have been butting heads with the globalist E.U. establishment after recently vetoing the governing body’s proposed seven-year budget.
The nations were concerned that provisions in the budget would have, as Poland’s justice minister Zbigniew Ziobro put it, would have subject their nations to “political and institutionalized enslavement.”
