(Liberty Bell) – George Conway is doing a lot of mental and verbal gymnastics to try and distance himself from his disgraced former colleague and founder of the Lincoln Project John Weaver, who is currently dealing with allegations of attempting to groom young men.
As one of the usual Trump-trashing segments on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” program came to a close, Mike Brzezinski, who seemed to be downright apologetic, stated she would be “remiss” if she didn’t ask Conway about Weaver who currently has 21 allegations of harassment by men of various ages, including some who were underage. According to many, this activity was an “open secret.”
BizPacReview says that Conway, who is the husband of Kellyanne Conway, responded by saying, “It’s terrible and awful and appalling and unfathomable. I didn’t know John very well. I, frankly, only spoke to him a couple times on the phone early on in the Lincoln Project. It’s almost — I don’t even know what to say. It’s just terrible. It leaves me speechless, frankly.”
This statement comes off as more than a little disingenuous, doesn’t it? It seems highly unlikely that Conway and many of his fellow anti-Trumpers over at the Lincoln Project were unaware of the activities that Weaver was participating in with these men. What’s shameful is that if they did really know about it and did nothing to stop it.
Over the weekend, the Lincoln Project attempted to save face by denouncing John Weaver, who has now left the group, calling him as “predator, a liar, and an abuser.” Yeah. Sorry. This is too little, too late. If they really meant this they would’ve exposed him a long time ago and ensured that he was held accountable for his actions. That didn’t happen.

In his reaction to the “Morning Joe” segment, media columnist Joe Concha was one of the first individuals to note that he didn’t think Conway was being completely truthful.

If there’s one thing people can recognize, it’s a dirty, rotten liar. And that’s precisely the way Conway comes across in the segment. How does a man help co-found an organization and not really know the guy he’s building it with? That seems like a pretty horrible way to found something, doesn’t it?

I also have too state , isn’t it weird that “Conway” had too pretend he had too get his family in order? He was against his Wife because she worked for Trump !
