(Liberty Bell) – Bill Maher is most decidedly a raging leftist, but if there’s one thing that sets him apart from the army of talking heads, it’s his brutal honesty.
He often says what the rest of leftists refuse to admit or even acknowledge, but it’s always a good indication of what the defeated progressive left is really thinking.
He definitely knows when his side is losing.
Breitbart reports that during an appearance on MSNBC, the “Real Time with Bill Maher” host admitted that he’s very “nervous” about the upcoming election.
Democrats seem convinced that former president Joe Biden can beat Donald Trump, but clearly common sense speaks otherwise (not to mention the post-RNC polls).
Maher told Joy Reid that he’s got the same sense of nervousness he had prior to 2016, when the Democrats were convinced that Hillary Clinton would win the election and were devastated when Trump secured his historic victory.
“It was very effective. I saw that one gentleman, I think he was the attorney general,” Maher said of the convention.
“I’m sorry, I can’t remember his name. African-American gentleman and he was pushing back on Joe Biden and saying ‘If you vote for Trump, you ain’t black’ and I don’t think that is a good thing for Joe Biden to have said. He said, ‘I have my own mind.’”
Maher is hitting on one of the weakest points of the Democrats’ campaign. The man whose name he can’t remember is Daniel Cameron, the first black Attorney General to Kentucky and one of the millions of black conservatives who think for themselves and don’t need to be lectured by an old white guy on what it means to be black.
“People do have their own minds,” Maher admitted.
“I have never been a fan of conformity. I have never been a fan of ‘we all wear pink on Wednesday.’ We all have had to do this, we all have to say this, we all have to do this then. I don’t bend the knee, and I get that people are pushing back on that kind of stuff.”
“So look, like I was just saying, I feel very nervous, the same way I did four years ago at this time,” he added.
Maher is one of the few leftists who is clinging to the last traces of true liberalism on the left. He knows that his own party has completely destroyed true liberalism, and is demanding conformity and mental submission, rather than free thought and respectful civil discourse.
Leftist filmmaker Michael Moore, an avowed socialist and Bernie Sanders supporter who predicted that Trump would win in 2016, has also given similar warnings, albeit more hysterical, that Donald Trump will win in 2020.
In June, he warned Democrats not to laugh at Trump’s base ahead of a Tulsa rally, the first since coronavirus shutdowns began.
“Don’t get all smug laughing at these Bubbas in Tulsa today & snickering over how many of them are going to come down with Covid-19,” he bluntly stated in an Instagram post ahead of the rally.
“They live, eat and breathe Trump — and none of us do that with Joe Biden. We’re counting on Hatred of Trump – not love of Biden – to win the day. Is that how you really think — hate beats love? Like, the more we ply our neighbor’s hatred of Trump, that’s the ticket to win?”
“Because deep down we know there’s no massive, intense love of Joe Biden,” he stated.

They started lining up on Tues in Tulsa for Trump’s rally today. 100,000 are expected! Trump has lost none of his base and they are more rabid than ever. Sleeping on the sidewalk for five nights just to get in to see Trump? THAT is commitment. Do not take Trump for granted. Don’t think he can’t win. Don’t get all cocky telling everyone there’s no way he’s winning the White House because, frankly, you sound a lot like yourself four years ago when you told everyone there’s no way this country is going to put a clown in the Oval Office. If you are once again not taking my warnings seriously, then I have a question I want you to answer, and I ask you to answer me honestly: “How many people would line up for five days just to hear Joe Biden talk?” 12? 5? None? The candidate who inspires the most people in the swing states to excitedly get to the polls — and ensure that each of them bring 10-20 of their friends & family w/ them on Election Day — all of them highly-motivated, fired-up, & “on a mission from God” — THAT’S who wins the White House. Don’t think we don’t have a problem here. Don’t get all smug laughing at these Bubbas in Tulsa today & snickering over how many of them are going to come down with Covid-19. They live, eat and breathe Trump — and none of us do that with Joe Biden. We’re counting on Hatred of Trump – not love of Biden – to win the day. Is that how you really think — hate beats love? Like, the more we ply our neighbor’s hatred of Trump, that’s the ticket to win? Because deep down we know there’s no massive, intense love of Joe Biden, no one is all dreamy and jazzy when they think about Joe Biden’s jobs plan, Joe Biden’s health care plan, child care plan, criminal justice plan, income inequality plan — “Mike! Stop! We get it.” Trump’s ppl will pack the polling sites. Our people will, well…well…they’ll be there! That’s not enough. We’d better figure this out. Biden better get out of the basement. We need to know he’s ok. We need to know what Plan B is. Don’t be afraid to search your own mind about what you’re afraid to ask or say. We can’t risk ANYTHING with this election. Biden has to rock everyone’s world to win. I’m just the messenger.
