(Liberty Bell) – A local Border Patrol station recently stated on Facebook on Tuesday that two migrant children had drowned in the Rio Grande while they were trying to enter the country illegally along the Texas-Mexico border. What’s even more disturbing is the fact that this incident was captured on video that was released to local media.
According to Gateway Pundit, a man that was on the U.S. side of the Rio Grande, Jesus Vargas, took the video and claims he watched the two teenagers and a woman drown. Vargas stated that he was able to save another kid who was 13-years-old.
Of course, as you might have already guessed, the Biden administration is completely and totally silent on the video as of this writing. If you conduct a search of the Customs and Border Protection website you’ll not find a single press release discussing the incident.
Here’s a statement from the U.S. Border Patrol Laredo Station that was posted on Facebook:
“This afternoon, United States Border Patrol agents from the Laredo Sector foiled a human smuggling attempt at the end of Calton Road and the riverbanks. Agents witnessed several individuals exit a vehicle and attempt to swim across the Rio Grande river into Mexico. Several individuals were apprehended in the vehicle at encounter. Some of the individuals entered the river and safely made it to the Mexican riverbanks. One individual was rescued by a local fisherman and rendered first aid by agents. Two individuals succumbed to the dangerous currents of the Rio Grande river and perished. The incident remains under investigation.”
What’s totally stunning about all of this is that the national news media has not been covering this story. They clearly don’t want the American people to see this because it once again reveals their ineptitude in being able to handle the issue of immigration. It also undermines their narrative and proves that Trump’s immigration policies were indeed better for us as a nation and even for the illegals, keeping them from danger like this.
