(Liberty Bell) – While Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) roared into Washington DC, guns blazing–metaphorically speaking, of course, she’s a socialist, she wants to take your guns–full of controversy and fascism, her fire faded quickly.
Now, she’s lucky if she can get even moderate coverage from the press as everyone has learned she’s a one-trick pony.
Now, AOC’s name is circulating again, but not for anything she’s done.
It’s for the woman who is challenging her for her seat.
Cuban-American Michelle Caruso-Cabrera, a fellow Democrat and former MSNBC reporter, is running for the Bronx’s 14th district according to a new FEC filing.
In a statement, Caruso-Cabrera stated: “I am the daughter and granddaughter of working-class Italian and Cuban immigrants. I am so lucky to have had such a wonderful career and I want everybody to have the opportunity that I’ve had. That’s why I’m running.”
I'm running for NY-14, to fight for the people of Queens & the Bronx, daughter of Cuban immigrants and living the American Dream 🇺🇸 https://t.co/DY5eLoCKgL

While Caruso-Cabrera is a fellow Dem, she’s also pro-capitalism and centrist on many policies.
In her book, “You Know I’m Right: More Prosperity, Less Government,” published in 2010, she wrote that in spite of being a longtime Democrat, “I will always love Ronald Reagan.”
“The core principles of Reaganomics rejuvenated an unstable economy and the Clinton-era policy successes took power away from the federal government and put money in our pockets,” she continued.
We must return to the fundamentals of American politics: small, not big, government. Less spending, not more.
The first step is to more narrowly define the parties’ platforms away from needlessly divisive social issues and refocus the political discussion on that really matters: economic policies that create jobs.”
I want a government that stays out of my pocketbook and stays out of my private life. I find it frustrating that the Democrats think I want to keep paying for their big government and endless spending projects.
Caruso-Cabrera is confident she can beat AOC because the Democratic Socialist had 16,898 votes in her primary race out of less than 28,000 total votes cast.
MCC tells me she is a registered Democrat and has been for several years. She says this race is winnable, arguing that AOC had 16,898 votes in her primary, but less than 28,000 votes were cast.

Caruso-Cabrera was once a Univision broadcaster and recently named one of the “100 Most Influential Hispanics” in the country by Hispanic Business Magazine.
Michelle Caruso-Cabrera warns against the dangers of socialism and champions the achievability of the American Dream through hard work and perseverance.
In contrast, AOC says poor Americans should not even try to lift themselves out of poverty. Instead, she says, they should depend on the government.
Ocasio-Cortez has endorsed socialist Bernie Sanders for President and argued that illegal aliens work harder than you and me.
Ocasio-Cortez owes back taxes from 2012, ignored notices, but wants Americans to pay more taxes! She tells people to take the bus & the world will end in 12 yrs while she takes Lyft & Uber everywhere! Her whole Socialist platform is a hypocritical hoax!

They note that AOC is still “reeling” from the massive bipartisan backlash she experienced back home when she chased Amazon and the 25,000 high-paying jobs they had planned from New York.

“Socialism takes and capitalism creates,” Alfredo Ortiz, the CEO of the Job Creators Network, said. “Socialism took away 25,000 to 40,000 great-paying jobs. We have economic illiteracy in this country! [Ocasio-Cortez] is taking a victory lap while thousands of people lost the American dream.”
